Florida
Florida is home to some of the country's largest military communities, and many veterans choose to stay or retire here. Our team is in Flagler Beach, between the Jacksonville Navy bases and the Space Coast, and we work with buyers statewide.

Closer to home, Flagler and Volusia counties attract many veterans who want the coast without the big-city prices. The Jacksonville bases are about an hour north of our office.

Buying a home in Florida with a VA loan
- Insurance shapes your payment. Homeowners insurance with wind coverage is required, and flood insurance is required in FEMA flood zones, which include much of coastal Florida. We factor real quotes into your residual income early.
- Termite inspection. VA purchases in Florida need a wood-destroying insect inspection.
- Roof condition matters for the VA appraisal and for insurers.
- Condos must be on the VA's approved condo list.
- State down payment programs from Florida Housing can sometimes be paired with VA loans. Funding comes and goes, so ask us what's available when you're ready.
