What stays the same with a fixed rate loan?

Your interest rate and your principal and interest payment stay the same for the life of the loan. If your payment includes property taxes and homeowners insurance, that portion can change when those bills change.

Should I choose a shorter or longer term?

A shorter term builds equity faster and usually costs less interest over time, while a longer term keeps the monthly payment lower. We will show you both so you can decide what fits.

Can I refinance a fixed rate loan later?

Yes. If rates drop or your goals change, you can explore a refinance. Talk with your loan officer about whether the savings outweigh the costs.
